No. I should post a picture of our shared 'back garden' which is more akin to a jungle overgrowth than anything resembling grass. Yours could get much much MUCH worse.

looks good to me. Maybe they will surprise you with a pond and a rock garden upon your return. Who knows what they're idea of "lawn maintainence" is..
